One of the first farm-scale solar generation systems in Vermont. The 15 year investment has finally paid off, but more importantly it has been a visible symbol of Vermont’s commitment to renewables, encouraging the industry to develop photovoltaics and other to invest in them.
I shot this footage and tracked the drone shot for a 3d camera solve. Once that was done, I was able to pinpoint the ground plane and place 3D type on it. I sent it to Cinema 4D, created a shadow catcher to match the geometry of the ground, added a lighting dome and virtual sun. I matched the time of day for shadow angles, sent it back to Aftereffects and matched the shadow color.
